Best opening to a movie EVAR!

I watched High Fidelity this weekend, I love love LOVE this movie.

"What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?"

I hate to admit that I've never seen this movie. I did, however, catch John Cusack's rant at the end of the defective Toy Story DVD when they were first released.

There have never been so many "Fucks" on a Pixar DVD...

Chops!!! I thought we had all things like this in common. Wanna borrow my copy? I'd be happy to share!

PS- you DO realize that John Cusack is my future husband, correct?

Sure, I'll borrow it. You're going to have to fight Tiffany for Senor Cusack.

What a great movie! I didn't see it until I was finally over my rated-r aversion and got a huge list of movies on netflix. I can't remember if it's r-rated, but it was in the jumble of movies I caught up on.

When I was a teenager, I used to watch and re-watch movies all the time. Now I think there's just not enough time in the world to watch many movies more than once. But, of course, before, I was limited to pg-13 and pg movies. Much smaller movie base to choose from.

I know I saw this movie....it was just so long ago, if I watched it again it would probably be like the first time. Because I seriously don't remember what it's about. Fun idea! Let's have movie night!!!

Christy,

I thought shiree was going to be your next husband...what the hell?

For me, I let the music augment the mood I want to be in.

This movie was my introduction to the comedy genius that is Jack Black.

I wasn't miserable because of the music. The music helped me THROUGH my misery.

Yeah.
