I pay big bucks for this education

Tonight at dinner, daughter A says "Mommy, I had fun at pre-school today!"

"Oh really?" I say. "What did you do?"

"We learned all about Polumbus! And there were bad guys who thought the world was FLAT (claps hands together) but Polumbus knew that it was ROUND!"

Good on ya, girl. At least they're not learning that jesus wants them for a sunbeam anymore.

I enjoyed your previous post. It's always nice to list the things that make you smile.
I am glad I live in Texas because although UT is beautiful I couldn't handle to LDS saturation 24/7. Your daughter sounds like she is having a good time! BTW, I feel the same way about my Clinique!

hooray, a fellow Clinique lover! Luckily I live in SLC so the LDS saturation isn't as bad here. It will be different next year when my daughters start public school, I'm sure. Mostly I stay in Utah because at least I can straighten my hair here! :)

my kid asked me the other day, "why aren't we mormon anymore?"
I told him because mormons think boys are better than girls.
He said, can we stop talking about this now?

And, shit, is that a cigar?!?

from the ashes- the intelligence of your child is unlike anything I've ever seen before. I love that story!

And yes, that is a cigar... hehe

Hi arizona expositor, I'm not familiar with you or your story, I must go to your blog and figure it out! Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, and you absolutely owe it to your daughter to dare such a dream. Promise me you'll continue?

AZEX- very good. I was raised by a father who didn't believe but didn't let on until I was nearly 30. I really wish he had let me know much, much sooner.
